The performance air intake may not be sold to the customer at the same time as the new vehicle and may not be financed together with the new vehicle. The airbox is larger in volume than the factory airbox and is manufactured from injection-molded plastic with an embossed red TRD Logo. The dyno-tested TRD Performance Air Intake (PAI) creates better horsepower and torque by bringing cooler and denser air into the engine via an Intake Flow Accelerator (IFA). It also features a reusable flat panel TRD High Flow Air Filter thats used in combination with a charcoal emissions filter in the upper airbox to achieve 50-state emissions compliance.
